Last night I was driving into a gated community and I had to stop and talk to the guard. It’s the kind of neighborhood where you have to give your name and they make you a pass. So I tell this bro my name and as my pass is being printed he goes
I wish I had more followers so I could actually get some responses to this:
What is THE MOST badass thing you’ve ever done? I don’t mean badass like “Once I found a five dollar bill on the street and I picked it up and nobody asked for it back.” I’m talking about the kind of stories you tell your friends, and their mouths are just agape the whole time and when you’re done they say something like, “DUDE THAT’S SO FUCKING TIGHT” (at least that’s what my friends would say). so please please tell me and reblog it so I can soak in everyone’s badassery
what are some of your favorite albums? I don’t care if they’re old or new, just anything that you like to jam to. I can’t torrent things using my school’s internet so I need to stock up on music while I’m home. help?
I’ve been thinking about Louis CK lately. I’m a fan of his show on FX, and I’m so happy his recent adventure in distributing his newest comedy special himself has been a rousing success. But my thoughts are going elsewhere to wonder why he has blown up in popularity in the past couple years, and why his comedy seems to resonate with these times. It always feels like there’s a comedian willing to address contemporary concerns with insight and honesty for each moment in time. All the greats had their focus: Richard Pryor and Chris Rock had race, George Carlin had absurdity, and I think Louis has hit on some sort of subterranean undercurrent of emotion that I didn’t realize might be swelling until I listened more closely: shame.
of men (read: boys) acting like they own me. I’m not dating anyone, so why do these guys act like I owe them something? I refuse to change what I’m doing or refrain from what I want to do just because some boy is going to be mad about it. When I want a father figure, I’ll let you know. ARGH I’m going insane. I have recently discovered that, contrary to popular belief, males get upset over trivial bullshit MUCH more often than females. Or is it just me? lol
